I got myself a
Tomtom One XL
for virtually half price with free speed camera updates. Now I've got Ozzy Osbourne telling me how to get to my "fucking" destination. It's only a few years since these things appeared and already the price has dropped so low, that even I can afford one. All you do is: enter a postcode as your destination, and it will guide you there via the fastest route possible. The "Safety Camera" feature is cool. It alerts you when you approach a speed camera. It tell's you how fast you are traveling, what the current speed limit is, where the nearest petrol station / cash-point / car-park / cinema / theatre / picnic area / camp-site / railway station / beach / hotel / hospital. . . etc. . . etc is/are. It's just great!
I always sneered at people who had thier sat-nav's on whilst they were driving along a perfectly straight stretch of motorway. I now realise they are so much more than just a voice, telling you where to go.
I now put it in the van just to drive to ASDA. A journey of approximately ONE MILE.
Buy one NOW!!!!
you won't regret it
EDIT (23-09-07): Since I posted this, Amazon have put up the price ot £249.00. A hundred quid more than I paid. Ah Well. Looks like you missed a bargain.
